Chemtec Energy Services, LLP is nearing completion of a major expansion at its fabrication facility in Willis, Texas. This expansion project includes the purchase of 4 additional acres of land, a new 10,000 square foot fabrication shop, and a new 7,500 square foot warehouse. The new space will be used for Chemtec’s custom fabrication business which has experienced tremendous growth. The new shop building will be used for pipe and structural welding and will contain two 6-ton overhead bridge cranes plus a number of smaller jib cranes. Chemtec's existing shop buildings will be used mainly for skid assembly. The new building is almost completed; the only remaining work is to complete electrical work, install the roll-up doors, and install the cranes. The new warehouse is already complete and in use. An outdoor storage yard has also been constructed adjacent to the new warehouse. The storage yard contains approximatley 40,000 square feet. The additional 4 acres of land that Chemtec purchased will also be used for outdoor storage as well as future growth. “We had completely outgrown our existing property and buildings, so this expansion project will be a big help”, stated Milton Page, Chemtec’s President. “ Our shop is currently running 24 hours a day to keep up with the backlog of orders. Once the new shop is completed, our production capacity will be increased significantly so we will be able to return to a single 12-hour shift". This expansion project should be completed by the end of July 2012. |
